National Association for the Education of Young Children exists for the purpose of

NAFCC
The focus of the National Association of Family Child Care is to provide technical
assistance to family child care associations. This assistance is provided through developing
leadership and professionalism, addressing issues of diversity, and by promoting quality and
professionalism through NAFCC's Family Child Care Accreditation.

The National After School Association is the leading voice of the after school profession,
we are dedicated to the development, education, and care of children and youth during their
out-of-school hours.
NCCIC
National Child Care Information Center - the National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC),
a project of the Child Care Bureau, is a national resource that links information and people to
complement, enhance, and promote the child care delivery system, working to ensure that all
children and families have access to high-quality comprehensive services.
NECTAC
The National Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center supports the implementation of
the early childhood provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Their mission is to strengthen service systems to ensure that children with disabilities
(birth through five) and their families receive and benefit from high quality, culturally
appropriate, and family-centered supports and services.
NICHCY
The National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities - provides
information for families, educators and other professionals.
NIECDE
National Institute on Early Childhood Development and Education part of the U.S.
Department of Education, was created to carry out a comprehensive program of research,
development, and dissemination to improve early childhood development and learning.
The Future of Children
Promotes effective policies and programs for children by providing policymakers, service
providers, and the media with timely, objective information based on the best available
