Committees

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee oversees routine operations of the Coalition and acts on behalf of the Coalition, during on-demand activities that occur between regular meetings of the full Board of Directors.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee oversees the development of the budget, ensures accurate tracking, monitors accountability for funds, and ensures adequate financial controls in coordination with appropriate staff and Directors.

Program Development Committee

The Program Development Committee oversees the development and implementation of the Coalition Plan, program activities & performance, along with service delivery changes.

Board Development Committee

The Board Development Committee develops procedures and policies, ensures committee structure and roles, including member recruitment, nominating, board development and orientation. This committee meets as needed, typically immediately preceding scheduled Board meetings.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee works to enhance public awareness of the Coalition and its mission.

Bylaws Committee - Ad-Hoc

This committee reviews and revises the Coalition Bylaws as needed to maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and state and federal regulations. The committee meets on an as needed basis, at least annually.

Legislative Committee - Ad-Hoc

The Legislative Committee educates local and state representatives on early childhood education issues, monitors upcoming legislation and advocates for changes needed to improve School Readiness and VPK programs.

Community Collaborations

Provider Support Committee

The Provider Support Committee serves as venue for dialogue with School Readiness and VPK providers on new policies, programs or identified gaps in services. This committee is also utilized as an opportunity for stakeholder input on proposed changes.

Service Delivery Advisory Council

The Service Delivery Advisory Council, formerly known as Pinellas Early Childhood Collaborative (PECC), assists in the enhancement and improvement of the planning and delivery of early childhood services in Pinellas County. This network is comprised of highly trained professionals in the fields of early childhood education, development, mental health, special needs and family involvement.
